SHIMANO 105 Di2 R7170 Groupset 2x12 | Crank length 172.5 mm - SPECIAL OFFER
The wait is finally over. Finally, Shimano's road bike groupset for the ambitious hobby cyclist comes with modern Di2 technology and 12-speed drive. And all this at an unbelievably low price-performance ratio. Nevertheless, no compromises were made in terms of durability and functionality and the many years of experience of the Japanese can be seen in every detail. You can get the complete group here at R2-BIKE.COM at an absolute bargain price and in a beautiful box. Technically, the new 105 group is similar to its big sisters Dura-Ace and Ultegra. The shift commands are transmitted wirelessly to the derailleur and rear derailleur. The latter are connected to a central battery, which can, for example, be installed well hidden in the seat post. The 12-speed drive was also adopted and allows for a larger gear ratio. This makes long climbs very pleasant, even for less trained drivers.
Shift | Brake lever SHIMANO 105 Di2 ST-R7170 2x12-speed + disc brake BR-R7170
Flat Mount Thanks to the dual-control shift/brake lever, you have your bike under control at all times. The raised croissants offer various gripping options, so that hands and arms can regularly change their position and signs of fatigue are avoided. It is switched at the push of a button. This is quick and energy-saving. The pressure point is so precise that unwanted switching operations are practically impossible. With the help of the Shimano E-Tube app, this wireless system can also be fully personalized. Among other things, the shifting speed can be set, a fully or semi-synchronous shifting mode can be selected and the program buttons on the lever can be assigned specific functions. The energy consumption is also very low. According to Shimano, the two CR1632 button cells should power the electronics for over 3 years. In addition, they can be exchanged quickly. The lack of wiring not only simplifies assembly for you, you also get a neat and tidy cockpit. The ergonomics of the brake lever have also been significantly improved. The recessed grip is formed deeper and the rounded handles are safe under your fingers even on long descents. In addition, the grip width can be individually adjusted, so even drivers with smaller hands can stop in good time. The completely redesigned brake caliper impresses with unprecedented braking power. Thanks to the special design, brake judder and annoying squeaks are a thing of the past. The standard L05A-RF resin brake pads with cooling fins ensure sufficient stability at all times, even under high loads. In addition, the distance between the brake pads has been increased by approx. 10%, which simplifies adjustment and prevents grinding noises. Even maintenance work, such as bleeding, does not pose any major problems for a biker who is reasonably handy.
Brake disc SHIMANO Ultegra Center Lock SM-RT800S | 160mm
Shimano Ice-Tech is a cooling technology that ensures maximum consistent braking performance. The brake disc is characterized by its three-layer sandwich construction made of stainless steel flanks with an aluminum core and offers significantly improved heat dissipation. This allows the temperature to be reduced by around 100 °C. The new Ultegra FREEZA rotors also have aluminum cooling fins, which can reduce the system temperature by a further 50 °C thanks to their increased surface area. The discs are equipped with a center lock mount for quick and easy installation, a secure hold and a clean and compact look.
Crank SHIMANO 105 FC-R7100 50-34 teeth | 2x12 speed
The 105 crank not only converts your pedal power into propulsion, with its high rigidity it also ensures extremely fast and precise shifting. This is supported by the optimized tooth design of the chainrings. The latter also increase aerodynamics due to their integrated design. In order to keep the weight as low as possible, the Japanese continue to rely on the proven Hollowtech II design of the crank arms.
Front derailleur SHIMANO 105 Di2 FD-R7150 | 2x12 speed
The advantage of electronic shifting systems is particularly noticeable in the front derailleur. A push of a button and the chain moves from one chain ring to the other as if by magic, without any effort. It also thinks along and automatically adjusts its position to the chain skew in order to avoid grinding noises. With the help of the Shimano E-Tube app, the front derailleur is adjusted after installation and a manual, fully or semi-synchronous shift mode is selected depending on preference.
Rear derailleur SHIMANO 105 Di2 RD-R7150 | 2x12 speed
Gear changes have never been so quick. A push of a button and the chain changes from one sprocket to the other in fractions of a second, no matter what the situation. This is carried out by the powerful and reliable integrated motor. The system is also supplied with new energy via the rear derailleur. The charging cable is plugged into the small charging port and after about 1.5 hours you can swing back into the saddle. A small LED reliably shows the capacity that is still available. With the help of the Shimano E-Tube app, the rear derailleur is fine-tuned after installation and a manual, fully or semi-synchronous shift mode is selected depending on preference. The narrow Shadow profile reduces the risk of damage in the event of a fall.
Cassette SHIMANO 105 Cassette CS-R7100 | 12-speed 11-34 teeth
The Shimano Hyperglide cassettes have set new standards in off-road use with their smooth upshifting and downshifting across the entire range of gear ratios. For the 105 group, the Japanese have also adopted this technology for use on racing bikes. Even with the greatest effort on climbs or when sprinting to the finish line, you can now switch gears without hesitation. Longer teeth make this possible. Despite the new design and the additional 12th sprocket, the CS-R7100 cassettes are also compatible with previous 11-speed Shimano Road freewheel bodies.
Chain SHIMANO SLX / 105 M7100 12-speed | 116 links with chain lock
The CN-M7100 chain is specially designed for the SLX M7100 and 105 R7100 chainrings and cassettes. The chain harmonises perfectly with the Dynamic Chain Engagement+ (DCE+) Narrow-Wide tooth profiles of these new blades thanks to the millings on the inside of the link plates. The design results in a tighter fit of the chain on the teeth. Vibrations are avoided and the smoother running of the chain is not only noticeable when pedaling, but is also expressed acoustically by a 4 db quieter drive. Thanks to a new chromed surface in combination with the proven SIL-TEC coating, the service life of the chain could be kept at the level of the M7000 chain, despite the smaller outer width.
Battery BT-DN300 internal
Integrated battery of the latest generation, which is sunk into the seat post or the steerer tube. The internally routed cables give the racing bike a tidy look. The integration of the battery into the frame also reduces the number of attachments that are exposed to the wind. To charge the battery, it can remain in the bike.
E-Tube cable SHIMANO for Di2 | EW-SD300-I internal
These cables connect all electrical components of the Shimano E-Tube system. They are used in the current Dura Ace Di2 9200 and Ultegra 8100 groupsets, among others. The more compact design allows the use of smaller, lighter electronic components and makes it much easier to route cables internally.
