From now on, the shifting commands are transmitted without wiring. The wireless technology with the exclusively developed transmission protocol guarantees you the fastest shifting processes that have been possible in the bicycle sector up to now. In order to make the rear derailleur and front derailleur as compact and streamlined as possible, these components are still connected to the new internal BT-DN300 battery via an E-Tube cable.

When braking, you always have optimal control over your bike with SERVO WAVE technology. This offers unparalleled control and sufficient power. But not only the inner values are convincing. The ergonomics have also been significantly improved. The grip recess is better shaped and the rounded brake grips lie securely under your fingers even on long descents. In addition, the grip width can be individually adjusted. The completely redesigned ULTEGRA BR-R8170 caliper enriches the road cycling world with a new level of control, with optimised modulation and unprecedented braking power. The new design minimises brake rub. In addition, despite its compact size, this system is quieter and easier to maintain than ever before.

Crank FC-R8100 2-speed
The Ultegra FC-R8100 crank not only converts your pedal power into propulsion, its high stiffness also ensures extremely fast and precise shifting. The high shifting precision is supported by the optimised chainring design. To keep the weight low, the Japanese continue to rely on the proven Hollowtech II design of the crank arms. The cranks are available in ratios of 52-36 teeth and 50-34 teeth and with crank arm lengths of 160 to 175 millimetres.

Rear derailleur RD-R8150 Di2 Shadow
The compact Ultegra 8150 rear derailleur delivers lightning-fast yet precise shifting. Even under medium and high loads, gear changes are quick and quiet thanks to the low profile design and Shimano Shadow+ technology. There are no noisy crashes or rattles with these high-tech components! Despite its slim dimensions, the rear derailleur houses the battery charging port and the wireless mode button. With only one cage length, the rear derailleur shifts on cassettes from 11-30 teeth to 11-34 teeth, increasing the versatility of the top component group from the Japanese.

FD-R8150 Di2 front derailleur
The Ultegra R8150 front derailleur is more compact than ever and a real powerhouse. The front derailleur shifts absolutely seamlessly between the chainrings and performs its shifting operations with digital precision in all conditions. The reduced frontal engagement surface has also made it possible to reduce drag.

BT-DN300 internal battery
Latest generation integrated battery that is recessed into the seat post or steerer tube. The internally routed cables give the road bike a tidy look. The integration of the battery into the frame also reduces the number of attachments that are exposed to the wind. The battery can remain in the bike for charging.

CS-R8100 cassette
The Shimano Hyperglide+ cassettes have set new standards in off-road use with their smooth up- and downshifting across the entire gear range. For the Ultegra 8100 groupset, the Japanese have also adopted this technology for road bike use. Even when using maximum power on climbs or sprinting to the finish line, you can now shift without hesitation. This is made possible, among other things, by longer teeth. Despite the new design and the additional 12th sprocket, the CS-R8100 cassettes are compatible with existing 11-speed road freewheel bodies.

Ultegra | XT chain CN-M8100 12-speed
The CN-M8100 is characterised by its particularly quiet chain run. This is not only noticeable when pedalling, but is also noticeable acoustically with a 4db quieter drive. Thanks to a new chromed surface in combination with the proven SIL-TEC coating, the chain's service life has been kept at the same level as that of the M8000 chain, despite a smaller outer width.
